Terms of Service

Last updated 8 August 2026

These terms apply when a franchisor (“you”) subscribes to or uses FranchiseMapp (“we”, “us”) — the territory-mapping software described on our home page. By creating an account, you accept these terms in full.

A business-to-business service

FranchiseMapp is sold and provided for use by businesses, not private individuals. By creating an account you confirm you’re doing so on behalf of a business (a franchisor) and have the authority to agree to these terms for it. Because of that, UK legislation written to protect consumers — including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (the 14-day “cooling-off” right), and the subscription contract provisions of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 — doesn’t apply to this agreement. This section, and the rest of this page, sets out the terms that apply instead.

The service

FranchiseMapp lets you map, draw and manage franchise territories, track their ownership and availability status, and (on paid tiers) invite franchisees to a limited, self-service login scoped to their own territory. We may add, change or remove features over time — we’ll try not to remove something you actively rely on without notice, but this isn’t a guarantee that any specific feature stays available forever.

Accounts

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating an account, and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You’re responsible for activity on your account, including any franchisee accounts you invite (see “Franchisee accounts” below) — if you believe your account or a franchisee’s has been compromised, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

Plans, pricing and payment

Paid tiers are billed monthly, in advance, in pounds sterling (£), at the price shown at checkout. Payment is collected and processed by Stripe — see our Privacy Policy for how your payment details are handled. No VAT is currently added to the price shown.

Where a discount is applied (for example, an introductory or early-adopter discount), it’s applied at the rate in effect at the time — we may change or withdraw a discount for future billing periods, with reasonable notice, but a discount already applied to a period you’ve paid for won’t be taken away retroactively. We may also change plan prices generally, with reasonable notice before they take effect on your account.

Cancellation

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Plan & billing page in your dashboard. Cancelling stops future billing — it doesn’t end your access immediately. You keep the plan you’re on until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, at which point your account moves to the Free tier automatically. You can undo a scheduled cancellation at any time before that date.

Refunds

We don’t offer refunds for a billing period you’ve already paid for, including if you cancel partway through it — cancelling simply stops future billing, as described above. The only exception is where a refund is required by law. This reflects that, as set out above, the statutory UK cooling-off/cancellation refund rights that apply to consumer purchases don’t apply to this business-to-business agreement.

Franchisee accounts

On tiers that support it, you can invite your own franchisees to a limited login scoped to their own territory. You’re responsible for the franchisees you invite and for making sure your own arrangement with them covers their use of the product — we provide the account and the access controls, but we’re not a party to your relationship with your franchisees. You can revoke a franchisee’s access at any time from your dashboard.

Acceptable use

Use FranchiseMapp lawfully and don’t try to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service or another franchisor’s data. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this.

Availability and warranty

We aim to keep FranchiseMapp available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the service is provided “as is” without warranties beyond those that can’t lawfully be excluded. Third-party services we depend on (for example, Google Maps and Stripe) are outside our control.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can’t lawfully be excluded or limited (for example, liability for fraud). Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of FranchiseMapp is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue or data.

Termination

You can stop using FranchiseMapp and cancel your subscription at any time as described above. We may suspend or terminate your account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if required to by law, and we’ll normally tell you why. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (for example, Liability) continue to apply after it.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and where practical give you notice before the change takes effect. Continuing to use FranchiseMapp after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or your use of FranchiseMapp.
